Simple, Healthy Banana Muffins

If you are like my family, at the end of the week, you are often staring at 1-2 bananas who are passed their prime.  While we sometimes can use them in protein shakes, I hate to waste them.  Plus, I would rather try to find a way to get my kids to eat them in some form. Simple Hello Fresh Weekday Meal

As I have mentioned before, I am definitely not any sort of chef or even a decent cook, however, with the right recipe, I am pretty good at following instructions.  I have been in search of some new, simple recipes since our current rotation is experiencing some burnout.  My sister-in-law suggested this simple meal from Hello Fresh that she found through one of our favorite bloggers, and of course, one of our favorite former Bachelorettes, Ali Fedotowsky.  Since Ali is[Read more]

Since we haven’t baked lately, we decided to refresh some of our ingredients and headed to Trader Joe’s to pick up what we needed. [Read more]

Soup Recipe for the Body and Soul

I am the first one to admit that I don’t cook.  Don’t get me wrong.  I get a meal on the table most weeknights and I do my best to try to keep it healthy but it is usually fairly simple and something that can be made with minimal prep due to limited time and busy schedules.  That being said, when I do have free time (rarely), I do enjoy cooking a favorite recipe that takes a bit more time[Read more]

Our Kitchen Update on a Budget

When we moved into our house, we were fortunate in that the owners had recently upgraded the granite in the kitchen but it still had the original oak whitewashed cabinets.  About 3 years later, we had a major slab leak that pretty much destroyed the lower half of our kitchen.  On the bright side, we got updated cabinets but on the negative side, we had to cover the costs to have the higher cabinets match, something we weren’t planning on. [Read more]
